Thirsty little hummingbirds on my patio. I'm only standing five feet
away and they're flying around me like fairies.

Current location: Galveston, Texas. This is a fishing pier that
Hurricane Ike made a mess of. The sign says they'll be reopening next
year.

This is the geocache I found on the bird trail. It's supposed to house
travel bugs but there were none. I took a geocacher's business card
with an Oregon address on it. I'll take it back to Spokane with me and
leave it somewhere else.

Went geocaching on Galveston Island after taking the corrections
deputy test. (I think I passed...) The signs said to watch out for
snakes but all I saw were these big spiders. I walked right through
this one's web.

Sitting on a bench in a secluded part of Riverfront park on my way
back from the library. I was returning some overdue books and would
have paid the fine but the library doesn't open until 10:00. Can you
guess what time it is?

As much as I'd like to tear off the plastic wrapping and spend a few
hours reading this magazine and eat ice cream I've decided to walk
across the street and deliver it to the house it was addressed to. Sigh.

Two found so far while out on a walk. Can I find the other four on
this hike?

Jesus, I really should go to the store tomorrow.

Just got out, great show with strange choreography and three encores.
And it was nice to finally see the renovated Fox theater. I haven't
been in there since the mid 80's. They're all in tutus!

Saw Coraline last night in 3d. Not a bad movie but it was worth it for
these awesome glasses.

Since I'm the only one who showed up for work today it was up to me to
clear a path through the snowdrift to the door. I have to reshovel it
every two hours because it keeps blowing back in place. It may not
look like much but looks are deceiving. Hope I can get out of the
parking lot tonight.

Just back from my trudge up to the store for some smokes. The snow has
stopped for now but it's a one day record for Spokane and the second
worse snowfall I've ever seen. The first being in northern Maine.
There's a newscrew just a few blocks away broadcasting live. You can
probably watch it live on KREM dot com.

22 inches. I'm told not to come to work until Sunday.

After missing the first winter storm we finally got dumped on by the
second. I made it to work at least but I dread the drive home tonight.
It's not fit for man nor beast.

Is this thing still on?

Watching reporters getting blown around. This guy is still somehow
broadcasting from the Galveston seawall on MSNBC. Lullz.

500 piece jigsaw puzzle. It took a few hours but I enjoyed putting it
together.

I just pulled out of Arby's and saw some smoke billowing up across the
street and next to the river. I called 911 buy they already knew about
it, of course. I was able to walk right up to it along the river trail
but got scared. whole trees are on fire. But it looks like they have
it under control now.

The wind is blowing off bits of cloud and streaking them clear across
the sky. I'll have to look this up when I get home.
